North Shore Coastal Challenge 2016

This was my third year running the North Shore Coastal Challenge, and my first time doing the "Mid Monty" 22km / half marathon distance.

There's a bus from the finish location at Devonport to each event start, so you can leave your car parked at the finish line.

It was a beautiful morning for the race start at Long Bay, and impressive to see the Full Monty (33km) front runners steaming through.

The Coastal Challenge is always entertaining with some hard slogs across the sand a lot of very slippery rocks to deal with. As with the other Coastal Challenge events, you will get wet!

I wasn't feeling 100% before the race as I was just getting over a cold so I wasn't out to get a personal best, just have a great run along the coast - and it sure was!
